I started dancing and doing gymnastics when I was in elementary school and by the time I reached middle school, dance was my extracurricular activity of choice. I continued to dance through high school, mainly focusing on jazz and flamenco. When I graduated high school, I started working full time and going to school, so I was not able to fit dancing into my busy schedule. When I graduated college and had more time available in my schedule, I began searching for dance classes, but all I seemed to be able to find were introductory classes for adults, and nothing that quite seemed to fit my needs. I moved to North Carolina and decided to continue my search for an adult dance class that was geared toward former dancers. I came across The Dancer’s Workout in January 2015 and have been taking classes ever since.
What TDW Means to Me:
I didn’t realize how much I missed dance until I took my first class with The Dancer’s Workout. I have that joy back in my heart that only dance can bring. I look forward to each and every class. The environment is great; Jules is so welcoming and encouraging, and all the girls are so supportive. I am so glad that I found this class!
